Welcome Serina to The Pug Diary Team
I am super excited to introduce to you a new team member to The Pug Diary. And whilst it would be great to have an expert joining the team that would be able to provide awesome information for you, I truly believe you will love this new team member. And she will bring something special to the team. Without further due, I would love you to meet Serina.
Serina is our new 2IC to Ref, our Chief Pug Officer. Serina is a gorgeous girl who came into our life quicker than we expected. Just last Friday 16th September, I was lucky enough to take Ref for a drive to meet his new sister at Serina’s foster carer’s home. Serina was up for adoption from the amazing people at Pugs SOS. And she really is just amazing.
I could talk a bit about Serina’s past before coming into care with Pugs SOS but that really doesn’t matter anymore. It wasn’t a good start to life but it is all changing for her. So instead, let me tell you about this girl that has stolen a piece of my heart already. Serina is 7 years old. She is a pug cross. No one is quite sure what she is mixed with but she is more pug than anything. And that shines through in her personality already.
Serina loves a good comfy bed, a delicious meal to fill her belly and someone to love and care for her. And she now has that all. And not just one human to love and care for her, but everyone who will come to meet her. Over the past week, she has quickly gone from enjoying the comforts of her own bed at night to enjoying the comforts of the big bed with Ref & I. She has gone from eating her meals warily to now doing a typical pug dance for at least her brekkie.
For an older pug, she is learning pretty quickly proving that old dogs can learn new tricks. She knows already that first thing of a morning, we head outside to the toilet before brekkie. And she knows that we head outside after brekkie to have some chill time in the fresh air and sun. And boy does she love the sun. She will sit there and soak it in and try to stop herself from falling asleep in the warmth.
I am so excited for Ref to have a sister, even if he still isn’t quite sure yet. I am excited that I can give Serina the home and life she deserves. I am excited to what Serina overcome her past. I am excited to watch her grow into her personality and allow it to shine. I am excited that she isn’t afraid of the sound of my camera. And I am excited that she is part of our little family. I hope you can all join in my excitement of our newest team member. I am sure you will get to see her grow with me and look forward to seeing more of my gorgeous girl as you do my favourite little dude, Ref.
