Social Pug Profile | Sidney
It is that time again where you get to know a pug from the social media scene in our popular Social Pug Profile series. This week it is the unbelievably adorable Sir Sidney. Get to know this awesome little dude in his interview.
My full kennel club name is Sir Sidney Shinning Star but the humans call me Sid, Sidney or Squid ?
I am currently 9 months old. Mummy says I’m just a baby
Birth date or gotcha date:
I was born on the 3rd of August 2015 and I went to my forever home on the 28th of September when I was 8 weeks old.
Where do you live?
I live in the East Midlands of England in the county of Nottinghamshire.
What is your favourite time of the day?
Exactly 7:45 am and 4:45 pm. This Is my breakfast and dinner time! ? But I also love anytime spent cuddling with my mummy. We have a special bond you see!
What is your favourite food?
Well I don’t really have one favourite food as I eat pretty much anything! My top three would be meatballs, hotdogs and cheese, but I also love snacking on grass, cardboard, hair etc.
Do you have a toy that you can’t live without?
Anything that I can find on the floor that I’m not supposed to have! I will find anything, from a sock to a pen, and treat it like its my most precious possession ☺️
What do you hate the most?
Birds, (especially seagull) I don’t like the high pitched noises they make! Sometimes I bark at them and when I’m on the beach I chase the seagulls away!
What do you love the most?
Easy, my mummy! As I mentioned before we have a very special bond!
She is autistic which means she finds interacting with other humans difficult, but I help with that! Since she’s had me by her side she can “conquer the world!” We do everything together and I love her with all of my puggy heart ❤️ (plus she gives me treats so that’s a bonus!)
Do you have any bad habits?
I think my humans would agree with me when I say my worst habit is barking at the TV. We could be watching anything – from an animal documentary to a murder mystery – and if I hear a noise I don’t like I start barking and jumping at the TV. The humans just don’t understand that I’m trying to protect them!!
What do you think is your best quality?
Well I’m handsome, smart and a great kisser! But I think my best quality is that I can make people really happy just by looking at them and wiggling my little tail ?
What does a typical day look like for you?
There is no typical day in my house! I usually wake my humans up between 6-7 am. I go outside to toilet, have breakfast and then I go back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. Once my mummy is awake we have some morning cuddles and then get ready for the day! Some days we will go shopping together, other days we will go for really long walkies and then do a photoshoot! On every second Sunday of the month I go to a local pug meet up and get to play with all of my wonderful puggy friends. One thing that is consistent is that I end each day having evening cuddles with my mum, nanny and grandad and then go to sleep in mummy’s bed.
What is the greatest thing about having an Instagram account?
I think the greatest thing about having an Instagram account is the amount of friends that we have made! We have met lots of great people and doggies through the site and it has really boosted mine and my mummy confidence!
You are a very stylish pug and know how to work the camera. What tips would you give to other pugs for getting to be awesome in front of the camera?
Thank you very much! The first thing that I want to say is that I’ve been used to the camera since I was a little pup. Making sure you are comfortable with having a camera in your face is so important! The rest is just practice, patience and lots and lots of treats ?
Where can we follow your daily adventures?
You can find me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat on @SirSidneyThePug
I’m also working on some little projects at the moment for a YouTube and Vine channel so stay tuned!
I hope you have enjoyed getting to know Sidney in this Social Pug Profile interview and be sure to leave a pug love note for him in the comments below.
