It is that time again where you get to know a pug from the social media scene in our popular  Social Pug Profile series. This week it is the gorgeous Loulou. Get to know Loulou in her interview.

Name: Most of the time it’s just ‘Loulou’ or ‘Lou’, but sometimes I also get called ‘Loulou Del Rey’.

Age: 2 years old

Birth date: My Birthday is on June 26, so by the time this interview is online I’ve already turned 2! Say hello to the terrible twos Mommy, mwuaha!

Gotcha date: August 14, 2014 aka Mommy’s best day ever!

Where do you live?
I live in a very small town in the Netherlands. I like it because there are many green areas, like parks and forests where I could run free! The only downside is that very few pugs live here and most of my Dutch pug friends live on the whole other side of the country. Boo hoo! 🙁

What is your favourite time of the day?
This will probably be at exactly 10 o’clock in the morning. Because this means it’s “Cucumber time”! At this time, I get my favourite morning snack and I go absolutely wild! It has become such a habit, that I even created a built-in biological clock and wake up or stop playing at exactly 10 o’clock!

What is your favourite food?
I really love fruits and veggies! My favourite fruit is definitely watermelon, and my favourite veggie is cucumber!

Do you have a toy that you can’t live without?
I can tell that I have lots of stuffies, but there’s one toy that is really special to me and which I can’t sleep without. It’s a little dog and he looks terrible! I guess when I was a little puppy I was a little too harsh on him with my vampire teeth! But other than that, I still like to play with him.

What do you hate the most?
I dislike a few things, like getting my nose folds cleaned or walkies in the rain. But there’s one thing I really, really hate and that is when the vet is checking my ears. I will squeal like a pig and even snapped at the vet once. I’m pretty sure he thinks I’m one of his worst patients, hehe.

What do you love the most?
I really love to socialize! (..or just getting lots of attention) I love humans, and I love dogs even more. Every time I meet a new dog I’ll just lie on the ground with my bum all the way up. And every time I meet a new human, I’ll lie on my back so they will give me belly rubs! Or I will jump at them, but not everyone seems to like that. Woops.

Do you have any bad habits?
Well I would say I have none, because I’m super awesome! Mommy on the other hand, could name a few.. She says that I bark at the TV a lot, but I just don’t understand why the animals on the TV never want to play with me? Mommy also says that I always beg for food when the humans are eating. But I can’t help it that I’m always hungry, I’m a pug!! Also I love to jump on and off the chairs and the couch and could entertain myself with that for hours. Humans think that’s annoying, I’d say it’s a good exercise to keep my perfect pug body in shape! 😉

What do you think is your best quality?
I’d say it’s my funny and silly personality. I’m a real comedian and I love to make people laugh! I’m also quite famous in my neighborhood for having this quality!

What does a typical day look like for you?
I guess this might be a surprise to some people, but I actually sleep in my crate at night and not in my humans bed! So around 7:30 AM my humans wake me up, so they could take me out and I could do my business. When that is all set, I finally get my brekkie! After that, I play with some of my toys or take a nap. At exactly 10 o’clock I immediately stop what I’m doing because it’s “Cucumber time”! Later on the morning, Granny takes me for another walk, because Mommy headed off to work or college. I get spoiled for the rest of the afternoon, with lots of cuddles and treats from Granny! At the end of the afternoon, everyone gets back from work or school and I welcome them with licking their faces off! In the evening we go for a long walk in the park behind our house. I also get my dinner when we get home. After 9 o’clock, I start switching off and snore like a lady on Mommy’s lap for the rest of the evening. Sounds like a tough life, huh? 😉
You have created so many amazing photos. What has been your favourite photo to create?
I love all photos if it means I get treaties at the end but mom has hers.

Mom: Thank you! Hmm, I think that’s a super tough decision! Loulou is always very coorperative when I’m taking pictures of her and we are both enjoying it so much. But if I have to choose just one, I think the photo with the monkey was super fun to create. The monkey is a toy, but it looks so real. You must’ve seen Loulou’s expression when she first saw the monkey! While I was taking photos of them together, she couldn’t stop sniffing and licking the monkey and put her paw on it like she was protecting it. It was so cute!

Do you have any tips for other pugs who want to be awesome models like you?
The only tip I’ve got is to just enjoy it! My mommy is lucky that I really enjoy being photographed. Whenever my Mommy grabs the camera I start jumping and running out of excitement. But I must be honest that treats really are the key to keep me posing in front of the camera. Otherwise I’ll start to protest, hehe!
