Social Pug Profile | Humphrey

Humphrey's Social Pug Profile | It is that time again where you get to know a pug from the social media scene in our popular  Social Pug Profile series. This week it is Humphrey who known for his antics in his cartoons, Humphrey. Get to know Humphrey in his interview.

Name: Humphrey

Birth Date: 23rd August 2009 I came to live with Mark on the 24th October 2009

Where do you live? I live in a smallish town called Tunbridge Wells in Kent in the UK Humphrey's Social Pug Profile | What is your favourite time of the day? This is a difficult question, but I would have to say Lunch time! This is obviously because of food, but also because a bit later I go for a nice long walk and this is then followed by a rest on the couch and a cuddle.

What is your favourite food? There is only one for me and that has to be chicken, if it’s cooking in the oven I’m there, if it’s in the fridge and you open it I’m there and if your eating it, I am most definitely there. As they say ‘sharing is caring’

Humphrey's Social Pug Profile | Do you have a toy that you can’t live without? My ‘H’ as it is known I received it for my first Christmas and we have been inseparable ever since. I call it my ‘H’ as I say it’s in the shape of an H for Humphrey. It will be 7 years old this Christmas and it quite worn (well loved!) and has been repaired many times, but I still love to suck it as I fall asleep and check on it whenever I walk into a room.

What do you hate the most? It has to be either having my nails clipped or my teeth brushed/ looked at. Apparently these things are NECESSARY, but I cannot understand why! Humphrey's Social Pug Profile | What do you love the most? That’s a easy one, licking! I love to lick Mark, especially his face and neck at any opportunity I get, first thing in the morning, when he’s on the couch, or even in the middle of the night. Luckily he doesn’t mind one bit and lets me do it until my heart is content which is quite some time 🙂

Do you have any bad habits? Me? A pug, never! How could you ask such a question?

What do you think is your best quality? I would say my heart, I have so much love to give and share it at any opportunity with whoever I meet. Humphrey's Social Pug Profile | What does a typical day look like for you? My typical day begins with getting up with Mark, having some breakfast and a while later going for my first walk of the day. Upon arriving home I have a few minutes cuddle on the couch and then as Mark works from home I stay with him all morning I have my own chair right next to his desk, but sometimes even sit on his lap. Later I have a play with my toy before lunch of give Mark a licking, a while later go for my second walk, my afternoon then is much like the morning. When Mark has finished work for the day it is time for his dinner (hooray, normally chicken!) the evening is then spent cuddling on the couch before my last walk of the day just before bedtime, then it’s time to snuggle all night as I sleep on the bed. I always get the best spot, Mark gets what is left!

How does it feel to be the star of a series of pug cartoons? It feels great, to know that so many people around the world enjoy my cartoons and experience the same things on a daily basis with their pugs is a wonderful feeling. It feels like on big pug family.

What has been your favourite cartoon drawn about you? Is this one, I love nothing more than to snuggle up during the night, and going under the bed covers is something I do all the time.Humphrey's Social Pug Profile | www.thepugdiary.comWhere can we follow your daily adventures? My latest cartoons can always be found on my Facebook page! I’m on Instagram: @humphreypugcartoon I also have a website that features archives of all of my cartoons this can be found at
