It is that time again where you get to know a pug from the social media scene in our popular Social Pug Profile series. This week it is the trendy Finnegan McDuff. Get to know Finnegan in his interview.
Name: Finnegan McDuff
Age: 7 years young, but it’s my birthday soon!
Birth date or Gotcha Date: September 14th, 2008
Where do you live?
In the city by the bay: San Francisco, Ca
What is your favourite time of the day?
Hmm…my favourite time of the day? That’s a hard one to answer, since I sleep
so much that the day often blends together. If I had to narrow it down, it would
be right after eating my dinner, when I’ve emptied out the tank for the night, and
I am ready for bedtime. I love cuddling with Mom. I let her know it with my loud
snoring and smelly farts, err…I mean…loving huggin
What is your favourite food?
I really love carrots! I can be fast asleep in my bed, but as soon as I hear that
fridge door open, I scamper across the apartment to try and get deliciously sweet carrots!
Do you have a toy that you can’t live without?
This is a toss up between my stuffed animal duck that I use as a pillow (not for
chewing) because I love sleeping with soft pillows around me OR my new antler
chew that Mom and Dad got for me because it tastes so yummy.
What do you hate the most?
I hate being woken up early and leaving my nice warm bed to go poop and
pee outside. I would rather be a warm pug burrito wrapped up in my blanket.
What do you love the most?
Sleeping! If I don’t clock in all my hours of sleeping, I can be a bit grumpy and
hard to deal with. Don’t mess with me when I’m grumpy!
Do you have any bad habits?
I have this weird OCD habit where I have to lick all my paws clean before
bedtime. Neat paws are my thing! If Mom is around, I’ll try to clean her up and
get her ready for bed too by licking away at anything I can get to. I’ve gotten in
trouble for trying to clean other people up for bed, but you can’t blame me! Bedtime is the best time and I’d like to share it with everyone!
What do you think is your best quality?
I am a friendly, funny, goofball that is always interested in meeting new
pups/people! Part of why I love living in San Francisco is the ability to meet
different people/dogs everyday at the park or other events around the city. I’ve
been known to ham it up at Pug Sunday (the first Sunday of every month)!
What does a typical day look like for you?
Just as I am dreaming of swimming in a sea of dog biscuits, my Mom and Dad
get me out of my warm blanket burrito and wake me up to go potty. Depending
on the day, I sometimes get in a short walk which gets my appetite going, and I
am ready to eat a nice breakfast of carrots and kibble. I waddle over to my bed
by the window and proceed to sleep…err…I mean work for the next 8 hours until
Mom and Dad come home from work. We head over to the park to say “hi” to
the other doggies in the neighborhood, and then it’s off to get in a good walk
before dinner time. After dinner, I get back into my nice warm bed and continue my diligent sleeping…err working…until the next day!
You have quite a wardrobe. What is your favourite outfit?
My favorite outfit is this yellow onesie with little cheese puff noodles all over it. It was made in Korea by a company called ‘Huts and Bay’. It is lined with warm fleece, is the softest thing ever, and it does amazingly flattering things to my figure!
What is your greatest adventure in life so far?
When I was two years old, my Mom and Dad made a big move from San Diego to San Francisco. We had to drive all the way up the coast of California in a car with no air conditioning. Unfortunately, it just so happened to be the hottest day of the year when we began our long drive. I was such a hot pug-tato, that my parents had to buy a bag of ice for me to sleep on, so that I would not over heat. It was a long and sweaty journey, but I felt so happy to finally make it to San Francisco. I love the weather here! Very pug friendly!
Where can we follow your daily adventures?
