Pug Parent Profile | Kim
Everyone loves reading the Social Pug Profile interviews with pugs from the social media scene. Well now it is time to put the pug parents in the spotlight to answer some questions about what it is like to own a pug in the Pug Parent Profile. Get to know the humans behind the pugs you love and pick up a tip or two for life with your pug. This week we are getting to know the human of Miss Drew, Kim.
Where do you live? Tyabb a little town on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne Victoria Australia.
How many pugs do you own? Just the one, I dont think our vacuum could handle any more.
What are their names? Miss Drew
Is your current pug/s your first? Yes
Do you think your pugs personality matches yours?
Yes for sure Miss Drew is very much like myself. A bit Bossy, a bit demanding and very much allergic to any form of exercise.
What did you expect a pug to be like before you got one?
Funny, quirky and have a great personality. I had researched the breed for their traits and knew they shed alot and were an indoor dog and didn’t like to be left alone and needed extra attention in the warmer months so Ii thought I was 100% prepared.
What was different to your expectation once you got a pug?
They shed so much more than what I ever thought was possible, how can one little dog have that much fur loss. But besides that Miss Drew is everything and more that I could have ever hoped for to find in a fur-child. She’s got personality plus and has totally fit into our family life. She’s my baby girl and I would do anything to protect her.
What would be your number 1 tip for new pug parents?
Be prepared to find fur in your dinner, in your washing machine and pretty much everywhere in your house and car. A good vaccum is a must.
What do you hate most about having a pug?
The fur but its just a price you pay for the joy they bring to your life.
What do you love most about having a pug?
They have so much love to give, it’s really like having a little furry person in your life. Pug pawrents are a special kind of dog owner, so meeting other pug mums and dads that are as pug obessed as yourself is great cause your friends that don’t own pugs pretty much get sick of you mentioning your pug in every conversation you have.
Why did you choose to start a social media account for your pug?
Miss Drew was the inspiration behind our little dog treat business, Miss Drew’s Bakery. We use our social media to get our products out to the public as well share photos of Miss Drew (she loves the attention).
