Everyone loves reading the Social Pug Profile interviews with pugs from the social media scene. Well now it is time to put the pug parents in the spotlight to answer some questions about what it is like to own a pug in the Pug Parent Profile. Get to know the humans behind the pugs you love and pick up a tip or two for life with your pug. This week we are getting to know the human of Paul, Janice.
Name: Janice Hill
Where do you live? Michigan, USA
How many pugs do you own? One
What are their names? Paul
Is your current pug/s your first?
No, I’ve had a pug since I was 19 years old! Paul is my fourth.
Do you think your pugs personality matches yours?
I do. We are very in tune with each other and he wants to be with me as much I want to be with him!
What did you expect a pug to be like before you got one?
I thought he would be a little more “chilled” like my other pugs. Paul is EXTREMELY obsessed with food; much more than any of my others!
What was different to your expectation once you got a pug?
When I got Paul, it had been 12 years since I had a pug puppy. I had forgotten how much patience pugs require when it comes to training.
What would be your number 1 tip for new pug parents?
Don’t get a pug if you’re not a homebody or if you work long hours. A pug’s first need is to be with YOU and if you don’t have a lot of time to give, then do NOT get a pug.
What do you hate most about having a pug?
There is nothing I hate about having a pug. Literally nothing.
What do you love most about having a pug?
I love how much he adores me and how silly and fun he is.
Why did you choose to start a social media account for your pug/s?
I really just wanted to see pictures of other pugs! I had no idea that most pug owners and funny and kind hearted, just like their pugs. In hindsight, I should have known!
Where can we follow your pugs adventures?
We are @PauliePugHamilton on Instagram.
I hope you enjoyed getting to meet the human of Paul and picked up a tip or two about owning a pug.
