Is your current pug/s your first? Yes

Do you think your pugs personality matches yours?
They both do in different ways. Vinny is a social butterfly and loves people (me) and Lucy can be a little spitfire sassy lady (also me! Lol)

What did you expect a pug to be like before you got one?
Pretty much what they are like now! Amazing, clowns of the dog world, most expressive faces, life of the party!

What was different to your expectation once you got a pug?
I didn’t realize when people said “pugs are stubborn” … how stubborn they reaaaaaally are!! ?

What would be your number 1 tip for new pug parents?
Set rules quickly and firmly, abide them at all times (if you let up a few times, forget it!) take them everywhere with you and socialize them.

What do you hate most about having a pug?
I don’t hate anything about my pugs. I would say I dislike the fact that there’s always hair on my wood floors despite constant vacuuming ? and Vinny still poops in our back room despite crate training.

What do you love most about having a pug?
They are literally like humans. Their personalities are unmatched by any other breed. They are so loving and silly. They are the perfect side kick.

What has been your biggest fear about owning a pug?
The health problems that can arise from owning one.

Have you experienced any of the typical pug health problems? If so, how have you overcome them? If not, what precautions have you taken to prevent health problems?
Yes, Vinny and now Lucy has experienced corneal abrasions from their cat sibling. I make sure to clip my cats nails down as much as possible and basically just keep them out of fights or attempt to.

Why did you choose to start a social media account for your pug/s?
I followed social media accounts back in 2014 before I got my own pug because I loved them so much! I didn’t even know it was a thing until I looked into the hashtag #pug and found my first few accounts!

Where can we follow your pugs adventures?
Find us on Facebook and Instagram as @pugalicious_vinny

I hope you enjoyed getting to meet the humans of Vinny & Lucy and picked up a tip or two about owning a pug.
