Everyone loves reading the Social Pug Profile interviews with pugs from the social media scene. Well now it is time to put the pug parents in the spotlight to answer some questions about what it is like to own a pug in the Pug Parent Profile. Get to know the humans behind the pugs you love and pick up a tip or two for life with your pug. This week we are getting to know the human of Frank!
Where do you live? Sydney Australia ??
How many pugs do you own? Frank is the only one by now.
What are their names? Frank the cutest LOL ?
Is your current pug/s your first?
YEAAAA and he’s my first pet as well.
Do you think your pugs personality matches yours?
Sometimes yes. He’s full of energy when playing and can always fall asleep in one minute at the same time, just like me.
What did you expect a pug to be like before you got one?
I saw a lot of funny videos before I got Frank, which brought me a lot of joy and I really hoped that he’ll be the same.
What was different to your expectation once you got a pug?
I realized that he is even cuter and smarter than I thought and I always feel happy when I see him. He’s way smarter than I thought and pranks me sometimes! Can you believe it?
What would be your number 1 tip for new pug parents?
I believe that patience is the most vital part. Pugs needs extra care due to their skin and nose problems. Also, puppies don’t know anything. you’d better train him/her ASAP after you pick him/her up and practice with them everyday. I even took some days off to stay at home training Frank. Try to.Be more patient when they make mistakes. They are just like newborn babies, vulnerable and curious. Another thing I suggest you to do is to Google about pugs before you make a decision, to watch heaps of dog training and grooming videos to help you know more about the feeling of having a dog pet.
What do you hate most about having a pug?
That would be shedding. They she’d every single minute. AND it lasts whold year. Horrible. Hahah. You must have a powerful vacuum.
What do you love most about having a pug?
Face, personality, actually everything!!!
What has been your biggest fear about owning a pug?
I start to worry about myself a bit. like what if I have some accident, what would happen to Frank?! ? and then when I went through something tough, I always tell myself to stay stronger because I have a pug to raise! ?
Have you experienced any of the typical pug health problems? If so, how have you overcome them? If not, what precautions have you taken to prevent health problems?
Pugs have flat nose so they all have problem which will affect their breathing. Frank started to suffer reverse sneezing soon after he grew up. I took him to the doctor and give him the nasal surgery. He’s now better than before although sometimes still has it.
Why did you choose to start a social media account?
I can keep posting his photos and see how he grows and record some precious and memorable moments!
I hope you enjoyed getting to meet the humans of Frank and picked up a tip or two about owning a pug.
