A Pooch Affair 2016 + Giveaway
One of my highlights of 2015 was taking Ref to Canberra for A Pooch Affair. And it will be one of my highlights again this year cause A Pooch Affair is back and with more to offer this year. Now if you live within a 3 hour drive of Canberra, this is one dog friendly event you will want to take your pug to this year.
A Pooch Affair is a boutique indoor event for dogs and their humans in and around the Canberra area. And that means Sydney-siders too who don’t mind the relaxing drive to Canberra. It is definitely one of a kind dog event too. You won’t find anywhere else that a dog event is held in the comfort and warmth of indoors, especially in the middle of winter. And with so many great things to do under one roof, you won’t want to miss this event.
What’s On at A Pooch Affair
There are so many different things to check out whilst at A Pooch Affair. You will be able to take a stroll through Doggie Mall and pick up a thing or two for your pug. You can book them in at the Doggie Day Spa for a little pamper whilst you’re at it. You won’t want to miss sitting down and having a bite to eat with your pug at the Doggie Diner & Cafe where you will be able to get you & your pug something to enjoy. Don’t forget to check out the range of demonstrations on offer throughout the day as well as entering on of the fun competitions. Check out and support the animal rescue groups that have a stall there on the day. Help raise some money for RSPCA ACT with a gold donation to enjoy some fun in the agility course. And be sure to head along to one of the breed play hours including pug, oodle, scotts and hounds. For the full schedule of A Pooch Affair, head to their website.
Don’t Miss This!
The highlight for Ref & I last year and the thing we are looking forward to the most this year is the High Tea. The High Tea last year was the first of its kind to happen where both you and your dog can sit down and enjoy a lovely time having some delicious foods and drink. And yes, your dog gets a seat at the table too. This year’s High Tea is themed with as a Mad Hatter’s High Tea so you and your pug can get dressed up and with prizes up for grabs for the maddest hat, who wouldn’t have fun getting dressed up. There are limited spots available for High Tea so you do need to book your seat early. It is $49 per human and $15 per dog which also includes entry into the event. But I can tell you that it is worth every cent and this is one item that should be on every human and dog’s bucket list. This is a unique dining experience that will see you have delicious sweet and savoury treats and your pooch will get some gourmet treats from Pupcake Bakery, puppychinos and a takeaway doggie treat bag. Be sure to book your High Tea ticket today here.
