5 Ways to Celebrate Your Dog's Birthday | www.thepugdiary.com

It’s no secret that I love celebrating Ref’s birthday. And because our dogs don’t live as long as we’d like them to, I think everyone should celebrate their dog’s birthday. But what are the best ways to celebrate your dog’s birthday? That’s easy, with any or all of these great ways!

Throw your Dog a Party

There is nothing as fun as throwing your dog a birthday party. The great thing about a party is that it can be as big or as little as you want. You can have it at home with just your dog and do fun things with them and spoil them with treats. Or you can invite their friends along and have some fun in the yard. Inviting their friends along means they can have an extra special playtime, share lots of treats with their friends and just have a plain ol’ great time. You can also take the party to the dog park and invite friends along for a play. If you attend a regular pug meet, why not turn the pug meet into a birthday celebration for your pug and bring along some treats for everyone.

Make them a Special Birthday Meal

A great way to celebrate your pugs birthday is to make them a special meal. Giving them something for breakfast or dinner that they don’t normally have will be a very special treat. You can cook a chicken & veggie meatloaf surprise, give a raw meaty bone or serve their regular meal in a new fun way with a side of something special like some doggie ice cream.

Spoil them with Birthday Presents

What better way to celebrate your dogs birthday than with spoiling them with presents. Every dog loves getting a new toy or two, a bag of treats or something else fun so noes the time to get a bit everything they love the most and spoil them. Plus it’s a good excuse to buy them that new harness, collar, toy or outfit you’ve been eyeing off for sometime.

There are loads of dog friendly cake recipes out there that you’re bound to find an easy one to make. Have a Birthday Photoshoot

Having photos for your pugs birthday is not only a fun way to celebrate their birthday but it is a fantastic opportunity to have photos to look back on in years to come. You could hire a professional pet photographer to take some amazing birthday photos of your pug. Or you could have some fun at home and create your own birthday photoshoot. Grab some balloons, party hat and a birthday cupcake, donut or cake and you’ve got some fun on your hands. Capture some photos that you can share and look back on with fun memories. Just remember to have fun and don’t stress so that you get the best photos possible. For some tips on taking photos of your pug, check out these photo tips!
