It is that time again where you get to know a pug from the social media scene in our popular  Social Pug Profile series. This week is a very special interview with a very special girl. Erykah Pug had taken the time to be interviewed. This was all ready to be published when I got an email from her mum saying she had passed away. So now you get to see how beautiful of a character Erykah was. RIP Erykah Merinda – 18 April 2001 to 2 August 2017.

What is your favourite time of the day?
Definitely not mornings! My favourite is probably dinner time and then snuggling with mum.

What is your favourite food?
I absolutely love edamame (fresh soybeans) – go figure. And I love roast chicken but am not allowed that much as it can upset my tummy.

Do you have a toy that you can’t live without?
I still have a stuffed dog called ‘Shane’ that I had as a pup. I don’t play with it much nowadays but can still drag it out and rough it up.

What do you hate the most?
Oh, many things! Slippery, shiny floors. The gap between the car back seat and front seat. Sloping driveways. Street drains. But like many pugs, the top of the list would have to be having my nails trimmed.

What do you love the most? Sitting on mum’s lap.

Do you have any bad habits?
Well,….. its not really a bad habit if its righting a wrong is it? I will not tolerate riding in the back seat of the car – its not how a queen should be treated – so after about 15 minutes of driving I start barking. Sorry (not sorry) mum. I have been known to swap seats with my human sister to keep me happy!

What do you think is your best quality?
Apart from my obvious snugglability, it is my resilience. I survived being attacked by dog when I was young and had a stroke from that where I couldn’t walk. After lots of love and care I got back on my paws and have been a queen diva since. I also have cancer but that hasn’t stopped me.

What does a typical day look like for you?
Unfortunately mum wakes me up early as she has to go to work, so I go out to do my business and then back to bed for several hours. At some point during the day one of my minions / walkers (Renee or Mahlia) will come by to take me for a stroll. Sometimes it ends up being more of a ‘carry’ in the park as I am a bit slow for the rest of the pack. Then I go back to be to sleep until mum gets home from work and makes me yummy dinner, before snuggling on the lounge and then going to bed with mum.

What is your favourite adventure you have been on so far?
Ive done lots of road trips and camping adventures. In a months’ time we’ll be heading off on a two week camping trip in northern NSW, looking for some warmer weather.

What do you love most about having an Instagram account?
We love seeing pugs from all over the world and watching what they get up to.
